MESSAGE ELEMENTS OVERVIEW

The Choice is Yours!

Depending on the message Elements chosen, some will provide you with options to choose from while others are open for your own creative writings.  Currently, each nomination consists of 17 Base Elements (B) & 6 Message Elements (M).

Out of the full 23, there are only two that need to be entered by you; Proclamation of Choice & Effective Date of your Nomination.

But, you didn't come here to say a little, you came here to say a lot!  Base Elements (B) are the default building blocks of each nomination while Message Elements (M), individually or combined together allow you to tailor your nomination based on your life experiences.

As mentioned in the Official Planet’s Choice Guidelines of Use, you are not limited to nominating only People!  The Choice really is yours to make and the combination of elements selected along with your creative, artistic, poetic or canonically positive life experiences really helps to support and express your nominations of choice.

Planet’s Choice recommends creating your Nominations first in our free MS Excel Personal Archive Library (PAL) file until you are absolutely sure of your nomination for the Public Archives.   Additionally, you may choose to use our nomination printable templates to help guide and write your nominations.

Remember: Once submitted, there are no revisions to your nomination so make it count!

The Nominee screen contains information on the subject of your Nomination and should be the focus of all message elements.

# Elements: 7 B, 1 M

# *Mandatory Elements: 0/2

Archivist Tips: "Don't be surprised to realize that you actually don't have a nomination for this person / subject when you sit down to write it.  At least now you know True Praise vs obligation to praise and are more the wiser for it.  However, if this doesn't deter you, then perhaps it is true praise after all..."

Nominee Planet (B)  Unless specified, all nominations will be presumed to have taken place on Planet Earth.
Nominee Name (B)     The "Who" or "What" of your praise and or recognition.  (Subject to ToS).
Nominee Country (B)     The default search field for browsing Nominations.  (Tracked to Factual Results)
Nominee State / Province (B)     Future Archives will track Nominations by State / Province.
Nominee City (B)     Future Archives will track & locate Nominations by City.
Nominee Info Line (140 Chars, B)     Element #9, message transition element, multi functional.
Honorary Title (M)    Volatile, can just as easily subtract from as add to the value of your nomination.
Nominee RCN (5 Digits, B)     Element #1, The Nomination advertising & Archive call out number.

C - MESSAGE SCREEN

Note: Element #17 Registration Status not shown during Creation.
The Message Screen allows you to customize your nomination with powerful human expression elements.

# Elements: 4 B, 5 M

# *Mandatory Elements: 2/2

Archivist Tips: "Until we design our next Archive model, we highly recommend creating your nomination first in our PAL model before you go live.  Excessive delays on this screen can cause the application to loose connection with the Archive registry."

*Proclamation of Choice (B)     The primary recognition factor & foundation of your entire message.
Wow Factor (B)     Helps to define & emphasize your Proclamation of Choice.
Salutation Greetings (M)     The way your Nominee inspires you to greet or acknowledge them.
Dedication Quote (220 Chars, M) Quotes can add both insight & context to your nomination.
Message Field (400 Chars, M)     When presented with "Writers Block", just tell the truth as you lived it.
Thank You For... Line (M)     When all is said and done, this is your Gratitude experience.
*Effective Date of Nomination (B)     True Praise is timeless, so too is your Nominee memory.

TOP ELEVEN NOMINATION RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. Planet's Choice recommends that the Nominee be in control of both the Nominator & Nominee RCN when possible.
  2. To get a better understanding of what you can do with a your Nomination, please refer to our Official Guidelines of Use in the Archive Chronicles section and also available for download.
  3. As there is no guarantee of entry for Nominations registered, it is also highly advisable to read the Archive Precepts to avoid Curation delays, Time-Outs or outright disqualifications.
  4. For the best Nomination Message results, we highly recommend using the Personal Archive Library file that was specifically designed to assist you in creating your personal nomination experiences.  We also have Nomination Template Forms to help you plan your nominations.
  5. In regards to the Nominee Name, "When in doubt; leave it out".  Trust your instinct on this one.  A little bit of mystery never hurt a story.  Besides, your nominee can if they choose, post the Nomination RCN on their preferred social feed.
  6. Your PAL file has over 20 different ways to identify the Nominator of a nomination ranging from “A Secret Admirer”, “The Grateful Stranger”, and “Your First Name” all the way to “On Behalf of the Human Race!”  Depending on your message, their use may actually fit your theme, but then again, it may just turn out creepy or weird or both and as such, denied in Curation.  Be mindful of your Choice!
  7. Element #9 (Nominee Other Information Line) is a multi functional element and works well with the Nominee Name Element when you are trying to address someone that you do not know. IE;
    1. Nominee Name = “The kind person” & E#9 = “ on the corner of 5th and Main st.”
    2. Nominee Name = “The Secretary” & E#9 “ of ABC company”
    3. Or as a transition, = “(Nominee Name)” & E#9 “ Author of the book (book name)”
  8. Open Nominations (Nominations not directed to an individual or single subject but instead created for many people) should have the Nominee Name Field addressed as “To All “, “For all the”, “For everyone who “ etc. (followed up by the use of Element #9 above) IE:
    1. Nominee Name = "For all the " & E#9 " Nurses in the World"
    2. Nominee Name = "To All those who " & E#9 " Protect my Freedom"
  9. Unfortunately, until Planet’s Choice can develop our next model of the Public Archives, certain names & or name combinations for both the Nominator & Nominee will more than likely lead to extended Curation delays and potential Time-Outs.  Consider using combinations of initials instead to avoid potential Curation conflicts.  Don't try to be sneaky either, Archivist will always error on the side of caution and either time out or deny any nomination in question.
  10. The Honorary Title Element is best used for someone who actually has the role title and you wish to express your confirmation of their actual ability to perform the role in a manner that leaves no doubt as to who they are within the role itself.  They are the epitome of the title and clearly own it.  The use of this premium message element may do more harm than good if it does not fit the core theme of your message or your Nominee.
  11. If there is any issue during registration or creation, go back to https://planetschoice.com/PN/ and re-enter your RCN.
