T182E - Destined Hardcore Hero
In the early morning hours of May 9th, 2019 I began to take a late lunch and as I walked past the lunchroom monitor there was a picture of a youthful man in glasses sporting a warm and friendly smile, the kind that invigorates life into another almost immediately upon seeing.
Who's this friendly guy I ask myself before seeing the news flash of another school shooting below his image. I had to take a seat and listen and learn what happened to him. All the while there was this feeling building up in me that I had just lost a friend I didn't even know.
When I learned more, I realized I not only lost a friend but that I had lost someone who went out LIVING by example the epitome of positive character traits & values that have en spelled me since my early youth; bravery, sacrifice, heroism and The Charge not knowing if...
Could you? Would you? And Will you yourself demonstrate such bravery, sacrifice, heroism and take the charge not knowing if you will make it out intact or even alive?
Kendrick Castillo did and that is why he's a personal hero of mine. But he should be yours as well for he gave us all something in return for his sacrifice; the knowledge that others will be there with you and that when we work together for the right to live and to be free of such senseless acts of violence, we will prevail.
And let these Public Archives prove that we will remember you.

PSS: To all those that made The Charge with Kendrick, you are also my heroes as well. May life shower good fortunes upon you all.
